This month is heavily themed because of Ramadan but I hope you enjoy reading it none the less. I read a lot more books, mostly because I read the Shatter Me serise and I DON’T UNDERSTAND THE HYPE. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE.
The definition (expansion?) of the acronym REPORT, stands for reading, eating, playing, obsessing, recommending and treating.
Reading
I’ve been reading a lot more this month, I spent a full week reading the Shatter Me series. It’s like bad TV for me, it didn’t need any critical thinking or anything really. 1/5 stars because what were people on to be addicted to this series?
(also “ lyhfml” is burned into my brain because that’s all I saw on my algo before reading the books….)
On the opposite side of the spectrum, I read “As long as the lemon trees grow.” Based in Syria during the war and follows a pharmacist trying to keep her and her sister in law safe and escape but she meets a boy…. 5/5 stars.
I re-read “The Ballard of Songbirds and Snakes”, to prepare to read the next book in the Hunger Games series, “Sunrise over the Reaping” (I’ve not read it yet, waiting for a copy at the library…)
Currently reading “The Politics of Design” as my non fiction read for April. Peep the cover in this picture, I thought I was being cool. It’s not but here I am.
Eating
This month was Ramadan, so all the foods we don’t eat during the rest of the year made their annual appearance at the table this month. At home we have dates with milk warmed up and it’s the only way we eat dates. The prophet Muhammad (pbuh) used to eat dates to break his fasts and that’s a sunnah we follow.
Buns from home. I finally bought some to try and they were good but not as good as I was hoping however the hazelnut and chocolate bun was really good and I would recommend it.
Playing
I’ve been watching a lot of YouTube videos, but to replace music I’ve gone back to listening “10 hours of thunderstorm sounds” because it’s always worked for me and I always find that I end up concentrating much better. I know I’ve mentioned this previously but it’s a realistic depiction of what I cycle through. I’m a creature of habit.
Obsessing
In no particular order, the spring time, flowers and the sun. I’ve never been happier to stand in the sunlight and get some vitamin D on my skin. ;-;

Recommending
Going make up free, or wearing *less* make up.
Doesn’t matter the amount of time sometimes I just like to stop wearing it during Ramadan. I don’t know why I do it every year but it’s a nice change in pace. It’s just to remind myself that I don’t *have* to wear it. Does this make sense?
Treating
Samosas, specifically the one’s that my mum makes because she only makes them during Ramadan. So they are a big treating during this time.
